Kristi Erickson

Family Law Attorney

A strategic litigator with advanced conflict resolution skills, Kristi combines courtroom prowess with compassionate advocacy to help families navigate complex legal challenges.

Meet Kristi

Kristi is a bona fide Colorado native but she's never skied a day in her life (please don't hold that against her).

Kristi Erickson is a powerhouse litigator and dedicated family law attorney who brings a strategic, solutions-focused approach to every case. As a co-founder and partner at The Reputation Law Group, an all-woman-owned and operated firm, Kristi is committed to guiding clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives with clarity, advocacy, and unwavering support.

Kristi began her legal career as an Assistant County Attorney, representing the Department of Human Services in child welfare cases. In this role, she litigated child abuse and neglect cases daily, presenting evidence, calling witnesses, and arguing before both judges and juries. During her five years as a civil prosecutor, she took cases to the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court, securing precedent-setting rulings that have shaped Colorado law. This extensive courtroom experience gives her a commanding presence in litigation and an ability to craft compelling legal arguments both in writing and in trial.

Now fully dedicated to family law as one of the founders of The Reputation Law Group, Kristi represents clients in divorces, custody disputes, adoptions, and complex parental rights cases. She is particularly skilled in high-conflict and high-asset matters, bringing a reasoned and strategic perspective to negotiations and litigation. With her background in child welfare, she has a deep understanding of cases involving domestic violence, parental alienation, substance abuse, mental health issues, and child safety concerns. Clients facing these difficult dynamics trust Kristi to be their advocate, ensuring their rights—and the best interests of their children—are fiercely protected.

While Kristi thrives in the courtroom, she also prioritizes efficient, cost-effective resolutions when possible. She holds a Master's Degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver's Korbel School of International Studies, equipping her with advanced negotiation and mediation skills. She helps clients explore collaborative solutions whenever possible but is always prepared to litigate aggressively when necessary.

A respected member of the Colorado Bar Association, Kristi is actively involved in both the Juvenile Law and Family Law sections. She is known for her sharp legal mind, persuasive advocacy, and commitment to empowering clients through every step of the legal process. Whether resolving disputes amicably or taking a case to trial, Kristi ensures her clients feel supported, informed, and positioned for success.
